Uplatnění nepůvodních dřevin na narušených stanovištích: vliv stanovištních a krajinných faktorů
PROŠKOVÁ, Miloslava
The effect of local and landscape factors on establishment of alien woody species in various post-industrial sites in the Czech Republic was evaluated. The first part of the thesis was focused on the establishment and survival of late successional and alien woody seedling in differently restored sites (spontaneous succession vs forestry reclamation), each with various successional stages (young, middle, late), This part continued in the topic of Bc. Thesis to detect changes in a period up to three years since the establishment of the experiment. The second part, dealt with the invasive potential of selected alien woody species Quercus rubra, was studied in three abandoned post-mining sites represented by sand pits and compared with the species establishment in undisturbed afforested sites dominated by Pinus sylvestris. These two parts were conducted in Třeboňsko Protected Landscape Area. The last part evaluated the effect of local site and landscape factors at a broad national scale. For this purpose, the phytosociological relevés from Database of Successional Seres (DaSS) were used.
Segmentation of images with leaves of woody species
Valchová, Ivana ; Suk, Tomáš (advisor) ; Blažek, Jan (referee)
The thesis focuses on segmentation of images with leaves of woody species. The main aim was to investigate existing image segmentation methods, choose suitable method for given data and implement it. Inputs are scanned leaves and photographs of various quality. The thesis summarizes the general methods of image segmentation and describes algorithm that gives us the best results. Based on the histogram, the algorithm decides whether the input is of sufficient quality and can be segmented by Otsu algorithm or is not and should be segmented using GrowCut algorithm. Next, the image is improved by morphological closing and holes filling. Finally, only the largest object is left. Results are illustrated using generated output images. The thesis focuses on segmentation of images with leaves of woody species. The aim was to investigate existing image segmentation methods, choose suitable method for given data and implement it. The chosen method should segment existing datasets, photographs from cameras as well as photographs from lower-quality mobile phones. Inputs are scanned leaves and photographs of various quality. The thesis summarizes the general methods of image segmentation and describes own algorithm that gives us the best results. The Park of Sychrov Castle and Its Use in Education of Natural History and Biology
Čejková, Andrea ; Skýbová, Jana (advisor) ; Říhová, Dagmar (referee)
Bachelor thesis deals with utilization of the castle park of Sychrov in education of Natural Science and Biology. The thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The main aim of the theoretical part is to elaborate the characteristics of the castle park from the viewpoint of outplanting history and its development through the ages. In the first chapter, basic information about the Castle of Sychrov is listed. The second chapter focuses on the castle park, description of its history and on the composition of a plantation. Practical part deals with selected types of woody species with emphasis on their didactical use and on their use in the walking tour project. Furthermore, the working list for elementary school pupils has been developed. These materials are suitable for the excursions which would be held directly in the castle park. For revision of the gained knowledge, the worksheet for follow-up classwork has been developed.
Methodological tool for assessment of authenticity of woody taxa in garden monuments
Pejchal, Miloš ; Štefl, Lukáš
The aims of the publication are to enable activities in the field of determination of the taxonomic authenticity of woody species. We provide an approach suitable to cases when there is not enough data on the history of their use, both from archival materials and from the evaluation of woody vegetation elements preserved in the given monument, the results of garden archaeology, etc. The data covered by the publication contribute to the determination of both aspects of authenticity and for the evaluation of the authenticity of the material substance of woody vegetation structural elements. We also provide information on the time of introduction into culture.

Zmapování liniové zeleně ve vybraném území a posouzení z hlediska druhového zastoupení dřevin
UHLÍŘ, Matěj
The main aims of this Bachelor thesis are research of literary references and obtaining essential information concerning functions and types of linear greenery. This work focuses on mapping linear greenery in the municipality of Vidov and its cadastral area. The work contains a list of all elements of linear greenery which are described according to tree species composition, function and area. The end of this work contains outcomes of the existing situation drawn into the map and a draft of tree-planting in this area.

Landscape factors and their influence on succession and distribution of woody species
Jablonská, Viola ; Vojta, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Tesnerová, Cecílie (referee)
The succession of temperate zone vegetation is a multi-layered process of exchange of plant dominants in which trees play a crucial role. To understand the processes that take place in the context of succession at the level of microhabitats, it is necessary to focus on the wider landscape context. This literature review seeks to answer questions of how factors such as the relief, topography, landscape structure and connectivity of habitat isolation, distance from the source or method of seed dispersal affect the occurrence, distribution and succession of species. The environmental aspects of the landscape are also taken into account and the disturbances that are part of the natural dynamics of ecosystems are briefly discussed. A specific factor is the method of using landscape, known under the term land use. Our handling of space, soil and other natural resources in the country leaves an indelible imprint, which is also reflected in changes in the structures of vegetation.
